The Next Step

We were very glad to hear that Fer's parents are safe and sound in London. Not the best time for an English excursion it seems. We have an appointment to have a full day of tests at the Children's Hospital of Philidelphia on Thursday. This place has had a great deal of experience in dealing with this rarity, and is one of only a very few places in the country that can do in-Utero surgery. That surgery is a last resort. What we're hoping for is that Fer can carry the baby through to term, and if surgery does have to take place, it can be post delivery. All we can do now is make sure she is monitored closely (probably a weekly sonogram) for any sign of Hydrops. The wedding plans are proceeding as planned, and we're going to stay strong and positive, and keep the thought that the CCAM resolves (reduces on its own). We have a wonderful extremely supportive network of friends and family throughout NY, the rest of the USA and Canada. We are optimistic.
